The golden rule of Season's greetings

Positive Minds | Positive Quotes | Edition 013

Season's greetings: the good, the bad and the ugly.

If there's one thing I love and hate at the same time, it's New Year's greetings.

I love short, personalised messages that are environmentally friendly, as simple as "Dear Coul, I wish you a happy new year". They only take 5 seconds to write, but their positive impact on the recipient is huge.

On the other hand, I hate all those huge, non-environmentally friendly, non-personalised video or photo messages sent with the mention "forwarded several times"; a sign that the person is forwarding it to you to tick a box and mark a morally compulsory task completed.

New Year's greetings are not a moral chore; they are a beautiful way to greet people and spread the joy you feel at this time of year.

The golden rule of New Year Season's greetings is this: a short, personalised message is worth thousands of generic photos or videos.

The next time you send a New Year's greeting to someone you care about, take the time to personalise it.
